Our Story
To have the chance to take the reigns of an historic restaurant, one that has been operating as a central place to meet for locals since 1865, is a rare and precious opportunity.
As the owners of Cafe Kindred in Falls Church, VA, since 2015, Gary and Jen are honored to now be a part of that history by bringing the Leesburg Diner into the Cafe Kindred family. We feel the values of the classic American Diner align very well with the values of Cafe Kindred.
By putting a focus on creating & fostering relationships, serving fresh and familiar food, and serving our guests with a kind and approachable spirit, we believe we can remain an integral part of the community for years to come.
Our goal is to combine the best of diner-style cuisine with high quality beverage service. Everyday we will strive to be the place where people find the most comfort when they walk through our doors.

We love the decor and the booths, it gives the restaurant a charming ambiance.Tate our server was attentive, amicable, and provided a great service. I had the French Toast with crispy bacon and added scrambled eggs; great selection!!, and the bacon cooked to perfection.

The breakfast sandwich on the homemade cheddar chive biscuit was to die for! They use Vigilante coffee here and absolutely do it justice - definitely a step above basic diner coffee. All in all, a lovely way to spend an early breakfast in downtown Leesburg. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!”

I started carnivore again this year and just wanted some meat and eggs. Looked up diners and boom. Right down Main Street. Humming Bob Seger, I made my way into the doorway and was greeted with familiar subway tiles, warm lighting, the smell of coffee and of course, bacon. I sit at the bar, alone and make friends with the barista. I ordered 2 sides of bacon, sausage and 2 sunny side up eggs. Topped with Chalula. It was exactly what I needed. Will absolutely return.”
